CES 2006 was pretty cool, the Microsoft Booth had a XBox 360 Arcade with 12 machines hooked up and Sony had videos of PS3 games running.

CES huh I am all about the Encore system this month (Barco/Folsome labs). If you see any other Blending/seamless/matrix switcher that is an up and coming competitor for it I would love to know! I love encores final product but there is always another way. On the audio side Yamahas M7CL looks like my desk but maybe you will see something else. I know that CES does not showcase much in the way of pro or showtech style gear but there is a lot of crossover. Anyway please tell me about anything interesting you see!
You are right, NAB is more for showcasing pro gear - and that is another show we do. You are also right on the crossover between pro and consumer stuff at CES. This show really is bananas!

Is the new full hd 1920×1080 42″ plasma from Hitachi on display? If so does it have speakers on the side like they’ve always done on their plasmas or are the speakers on the bottom.

It would be much appreciated, been working on this since 9:00 AM in Grand Rapids, MI. Trying to figure out if I should wait to buy or buy now. This is going to be my first plasma purchase. I’m getting nowhere with the people @ 800-HITACHI. Thanks again
