Man, I have been so busy at work lately. I am just swamped

YouTube Support

Anyway, here’s a story that should make my bud Mr. Gary Lee happy: In a press release that came out yesterday, Apple announced you be able to stream YouTube videos right from the fancy AppleTV interface. This means that you won’t need the AppleTV YouTube plugin that I wrote about earlier! The feature will be launched mid-June and users would be able to view “Thousands of the most current and popular YouTube videos” right off the bat and YouTube will be “adding thousands more each week until the full YouTube catalog is available this fall.” You will also be able to login to your YouTube account to view and save your favorite videos!

More Storage

Apple also announced that you can order an AppleTV with a 160GB hard drive! The new larger hard drive will let you store four times more of your favorite content! That’s up to 200 hours of video, 36,000 songs, 25,000 photos or a combination of each. “el Hefe” should be available by the time you read this and should cost about $399.

Here is a fancy graph I whipped up so you can compare the two different AppleTV models:

AppleTV Comparison Chart

Storage 40GB 160GB
Video 50 Hours 200 Hours
Music 9,000 Songs 36,000 Songs
Pictures 25,000 ?1
Price $299.00 $399.00

1 All of the info I found says that both models will hold 25,000 photos. I’m guessing that there is a limit on what the AppleTV can hold.
