Because my buddy Mr. Gary Lee included me in his Technorati Faves meme, I have received a ton of incoming links and I hit #46 in Technorati’s Top 100 Favorite Blogs! :shock: As of right now, there are 352 bloggers who have added me to their favorites and because I was included in the beginning of the meme, I really don’t have an easy way of adding them back – until now!

Why Bother?

These people took the time to favorite me, the lest I could do is return the favor! It’s the right thing to do, the blogosphere is all about community.

How To

Engtech has write a fancy piece of software that will find everyone who has favorited your blog and automatically favorite them back! All you need to do is Visit the Engtech site to download the program, unzip it, and run it – easy!

The Main Window

  1. Enter in your Technorati account name and password
  2. Hit the Run (takes a while) button. This really will take a little while, don’t sit and wait for it, start another task.
  3. When it’s finished, you’ll see this dialog indicating that you’re all done!

Advanced Users

This tip is on the Engtech site, but I thought I should repeat it: You can schedule this to run at regular intervals with Windows Scheduler! That way, you can make sure and favorite everyone who has favorited you! I set mine to run every Friday at midnight.

  1. Navigate to: Start->Control Panel->Scheduled Tasks->Add Scheduled Task
  2. Enter in all of the info into the Wizard. When you get to the last screen, tick the Open advanced properties for this task when I click Finish checkbox and click the Finish button.
  3. Under the Task tab, look for the Run address box, add the following to the end of the target:

    4. --nogui

    If you unzipped the program into the My Programs directory, the full target path should read:

    "C:\Program Files\et-software\technoratiff.exe" --nogui
