Though this album came out in 1997, I just started listing to it – which is odd because I am a huge fan of Fatboy Slim. The album starts out a little slow then picks up pretty quickly.

The first track, Song For Lindy, has a great beat and moves along pretty well. Track two, Santa Cruz, it OK - I’m not huge fan of this song, in my opinion, the guitar is a bit excessive.

The once you hit track three, Going Out Of My Head, it’s time to grab your baggy pants and glow sticks! It features Fatboy Slim’s signature original sounds and samples - I love this track! It really is the gateway to the rest of the album.

Next up is The Weekend Starts Here. This one is a down-tempo track with a great beat.

Everybody Needs A 303 is another classic Fatboy song with his signature samples! Easily on of my favorite songs on this album!

I wont cover all of the songs, but here are a few worth noting:

First Down is an amazingly funky track with some great horn samples - another favorite of mine!!

Another classic Fatboy song is The Sound Of Milwaukee. It features some quarky samples and is very easy on the ears!

Michael Jackson is a pretty popular Fatboy track that listeners will recognize as it has been remixed several times as well as being on the Tomb Raider soundtrack.

Conclusion

I honestly think this is one of Fatboy Slim’s better albums. 1998’s You’ve Come A Long Way, Baby was a great album, but I think this one is more hard-core for true House music fans. It has some great club tracks and a few down-tempo grooves. It’s definitely worth checking out!
