I was inspired by my own Geek Bling and wanted to see what kind of Geek Bling my readers could come up with!

What’s Geek Bling?!

We’ve all seen [insert generic rappers name here] sporting the diamond encrusted watches/earrings/dogs and Bentley’s with 78″ rims. I want to see your idea of Geek Bling. Maybe you hacked your boxer shorts with an LCD streaming XML feeds or you set up a water cooling kit for your cat’s litter box! Get creative!

The Deal

Create your vary own Geek Bling, post pictures on your site and send me an email with the post’s URL. I’ll pick the best one and that person will get a prize! If you don’t have a site, keep reading.

The Main Prize

Since this is my first contest, I’m going to start small. The winner will receive one brand new set of Maxell P-18 Portable Speakers! Product Features:

The Rules

For you entry to be considered, you need include the following in your post:

You may enter as many times as you want (with different entries of course), but each entry must be on a different page, with each page providing the required links stated above.

Your entry must be tech related and tie in with “Bling” of some sort.

All entry’s must be received by 11:59pm MT on March 31, 2007.

Family and friends may enter - but their entry’s will not be given special treatment!

No Website?

Consider getting into blogging! Wordpress will give you one for free and even host it! Not interested? That’s cool, you can still enter by email. Write me an email and include pictures of your Geek Bling. I’ll host your entry on my site. Please do not abuse this!! The idea of this contest is to build links for your site!! It would not benefit you to have me host your entry. You would miss out on a linkback to your site!! This is intended for the few who do not have site’s of their own.

Picking The Winner

I will pick the winner based on which entry I think is the “best”. This can be based on a number of factors: creativity, silliness, bad-ass-ness or which ever I think is the funniest! Pretty arbitrary and definitely not scientific. Winner will be notified by email. If I can not get a hold of the winner within one week of the contest’s end date, another winner will be chosen. If that winner can’t be contacted within a week, same deal until I can get a hold of someone!

Odds of winning will be based on the total number of entries.
