Goals For March
These goals were originally in order of importance, and the list was in the reverse order of the way it is now - it just seemed to flow better this way! But my family always comes first!!
OK, it’s a little late but I have been inspired, so here goes: In the past month, I have started getting the word out on this site. I have joined a couple of communities and commented on quite a few blogs to get people to notice me! I try not to spam, but to write meaningful comments - just so happens that I wrote a lot of them! So, a month ago, this site was ranked 912, 223 by Technorati and DRT just let me know that I reached my goal of breaking the 50K mark!
As of an hour ago, samanathon.com is ranked 49,606 with 336 links from 75 blogs! 
My rank four days ago was: 159,432!! It’s less then a third of what it was!!!
My Goals
- I want this site to be successful.
My goal here is to bring in more income, visitors and break the 35,000 mark on Technorati.
The first inspiration comes from Stephen Fung’s article Dot Com Mogul Checklist for February, I can check off two off his list of nine:
- Your blog must be updated at least once per week
- A Google search of your name must be at the #1 spot
But I’m not striving to be a Dot Com Mogul quite yet - it is a goal, but for the short term I want to increase traffic and quality on this site as well as comments!
The second bit of inspiration comes from the movie The Secret. This is a fantastic movie and I highly recommend it to everyone! You can watch it online for only $5 - do it now, it will change you life! The trailer is a little hokey, but it’s all about how to get what you want out of life.
The third inspiration comes from The Root Of All Evil himself. He has shown me and many others that you can do it - what ever it is, you can archive!
- I want to spend more time with my family
Because of my job, I spend a lot of time away from my girls - but a positive of that is that I can spend time adding content to this site. So I think #2 will be a bi-product of #1
- I want to be a better husband to my wife
I want to “wine her and dine her”, sweat talk her, show her that man she fell in love with is still here!
So watch out world, March is my month!

If yes then it explains why my Technorati rating keep going down, even though when I read it I was wondering what is this DTR? It reminded me like an acronym for Data Tape Recorder.

Your last two goals are highly commendable ones. I think you should place them #1 and #2. Family comes first in life!

A momth ago my blog, Culture Shiok! was ranked 2.6 millionth by Technorati, 1 month and a few days later, I’m at 56,919th.
I want my blog to be successful too!
You can do it! Write great content and meaningful comments!
I can see you reaching those goals…and I might add, they are good goals that are realistic and I love to see that family is important to you. I grew up in a family that was very close, and I hope to continue that when I start my own family.
