There is another Goldeneye project out there. This one is titled “GoldenEye ROM Editor” which was released by The Rare Witch Project. It allows you to edit the original Nintendo 64 ROM files so you can create your own game!
From their site:
“Finally, a level editor for Goldeneye. This editor allows you to edit every aspect of a Goldeneye setup file, including objectives, objects, actions, intros, paths, presets, and even additional features such as text and briefing editing for the level.
You have the power to open any setup file from the game and modify it, or create your own from scratch. Then, upon completion you can either convert the ROM of Goldeneye for emulator play, or upload the results to console through the use of a parallel port and GameShark.”

This one is pretty hardcore. You need to understand programing as you will be writing the code yourself. It will still have the same look and feel as the original Nintendo 64 game because it will use the same rendering engine. If you have the time, skill and energy you should check it out!
