I watched Heroes S1E12 “Godsend” last night - I am so glad it’s back!!

THERE ARE SPOILERS BELOW! You have been warned.

Primatech’s Website

There is a scene at the end of the episode where Clair’s dad visits Mohinder and asks for his help. Mr. Bennet gives Mohinder his business card and tells him that the access number is on the back. We were never shown the access number but we did see the company’s web address: Primatech Paper.com. The website looks like your standard company website written in Frontpage except when you click the Jobs tab, you are asked for a invitation code! I called the phone number from the site, 1-800-PRIMA16 (774-6216), hit “3″ for the Personel department and was given an access code for the web site!  Go to the web site and click the Jobs tab. Enter:

MT36

You are taken to the Career form where you can enter your contact information as well as take a survey. It’s pretty interesting, go check it out. One thing I did notice was that it says:

Primatech Paper uses a sophisticated personality inventory based on the DSM-IV to help us determine if applicants fit our employee profile.

I hit up Wikipedia and found that DSM-IV is the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders used by the American Psychiatric Association! A little out of place for a paper company, eh?

I also clicked the Privacy Policy and it looks like someone at NBC/Universal’s legal department wrote it up, nothing fishy or odd. In fact, there is a link that does take you to NBC/Universal’s Web Site Privacy Policy.

Lost did a something similar with a website & phone number for the Hanso Foundation, which I thought was pretty cool!

The Reoccurring Symbol

I love Hiro - he has to be my favorite character on this show! I have always loved everything Japanese, but his innocent but confident nature is what draws me to him - that and the sword! While Hiro and Ando where at the musium looking for the magic sword, Ando notices that symbol we keep seeing everywhere and lets us know that it is a combination of two other symbols:

  • Great Talent
  • Godsend

Later on, in a scene with Clair, the Haitian mentions that their powers are a gift from God . . .

Speaking of Clair, she rekindles her friendship with Zack. At first she pretends that she can’t remember things either, but after she regains his trust, she lets him back into her “secret circle” - or whatever you what to call it. I really like the Clair character. She seems the most real of all of the characters - and I’m not talking about her power, I mean the drama that drives her character: teenage cheerleader, adopted, struggling to find her place - real issues. The way her character’s story ark is how this entire show should be!

On the other hand, I really hope they kill off Niki. I can’t stand her! Who cares about her and her crazy-dead-but-not twin sister?! Every time her scenes come on, I find myself doing something else. Although, now we see that Niki is gaining some of Jessica’s ability’s - lets hope the story gets better . . .

Other then that, we are treated to two new “heroes”: a man who can create explosions in his hands (will he be the reason Peter blows up New York?) and a man who is invisible. Not much info on either of these guys, “Explodo” is in the Nevada desert and “Invisaboy” is in New York.

Thoughts

The one complaint that I have about this show is that there is a lot happening but nothing is happening!

Scenes come and scenes go. People do stuff, things happen but the story is moving to slowly! They are dropping hints here and there - like Lost - but not enough of them and the plot is talking to long to take shape!
