I must admit that I lost a lot of respect for Heroes after they decided to move their viral marketing campaign onto MySpace but they started to redeem themselves in my eyes: I just spent some time on Vote Petrelli.com.
It’s a site for the character Nathan Petrelli and it’s done very well! It really looks like a politician’s site, they even produced a campaign video!
Vote Petrelli.com has some of the standard info you’d expect to see on a politician’s site – and that’s what makes it so great, it’s believable! That was the biggest problem that I had with the whole MySpace fiasco, they took the great idea of the Primatech site and ruined it: Why would any Heroes character create a MySpace profile? They’re trying to stay off the radar!
Check out Nathan Petrelli’s site, they have some cool downloads for you diehards out there!

I really need to get into this show again. Time to go online and watch the last season.
It is a fun show, although, I must say that I would be perfectly happy if they killed off half of the cast…
This show could really benefit from some better characters, all the rest of the elliments are there for this show to be a hit!

Saman, seriously, what is so unbelievable about Sylar creating a MySpace page? Right now the most important thing to him is gaining more power, so of course he is going to take time away from that, stop everything, and create a MySpace profile!

If they want more characters with believable MySpace page promotions, they need to introduce a whole lot more characters that are 13 year olds…..
No kidding! As I said before, I can almost believe Clare and Zach creating them – but Sylar and Wireless?!!?!?!?!
Lame.
haven’t seen any episodes of it… but I think I might’ve seen a part of the first episode. Is it about people who got superpowers or something?
Can’t believe they would take the time to make real life connections to the movie though :S
It’s election time in the Philippines.
I’m a registered voter!
I’m going to vote Peter Petrelli!
Heroes is one of my fav tv shows
Viral marketing is a powerful tool, but a large number of viral campaigns fall apart in the initial steps. I read a good article “A Case Study of a Viral Post“. One of the most important things is to get your viral campaing noticed on big sites/media in order for it to spread efficiently in ‘influential ripples’.
