R2-D2 Mail Box

Written by Saman Sadeghi on April 17, 2007 Add comments

I saw this mail box in Las Vegas and I couldn’t believe my eyes - it really was an R2-D2 mail box!! Now, we all know that this lovable R2 unit can spontaneously spawn new abilities whenever needed, now he can help you send your grandmother a birthday card!

R2D2 Mail Box

This driod had a URL painted on him: USPS Jedi Master.com. Apparently, the USPS is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Star Wars with 400 of these R2-D2 nationwide!

EDIT: I found more pictures: Check out more pictures at The Force.net

They have a bunch of Star Wars packaging I saw on Jules blog a couple weeks back as well. Interesting marketing plan.

I doubt you’ll see them in Australia, unless someone steels one and sells it on Ebay!

I wonder how long till one of these are stolen? Seriously, I know it’s illegal and all but you’d think someone would take one….

I’m sure that someone will try - but it’s a Federal Crime to mess with the mail!

It sure is! I’m sure that everyone of the 400 will be in a highly visible are, making them even harder to steal!
