Wow, my little hobby site is really starting to take off - there is an incredible community of fantastic bloggers who visit regularly and I couldn’t be happier! Traffic is way up and I’m actually starting to generate some income -
(mainly) and my CTR is actually starting to increase!
I have experimented with a few different ad systems, and haven’t really been impressed with any of them (I was about to ditch AdSense before I got the check) I have been extremely underwhelmed by all of the ad-broker’s performances - that was until I read Nate Whitehill’s article titled “How To Sell Your Blog’s Advertising” and I decided to take the jump and ditch all of the ad networks and sell my ad space myself (except for AdSense, I want to see if it’s performance keeps improving)!!

Heck, I am just following what you do to a point. I have watched your raking steadily improve since I started blogging.
Even when you had to stop posting for a few weeks it did not seem to hurt you. You are in the mix of 6-10 blogs I watch and make comments on.
As you know, most folks give up on blogging after a short period. I think this will evolve into something bigger. That’s why I am sticking around.
It’s funny that you mentioned that - I wasn’t able to blog for about two weeks and my RSS subscribers doubled!

I have seen that before - I checked it out when my blog was a few months old and it said my site was worth 20K or something….

Wow it seems your blog has really taken off to extreme heights! At the end of the month you should report how much money you made this month.

I know the numbers are a bit inflated because of a few Diggs and Stumbles, but they’ve been pretty steady!

PS - I think I read (maybe on Andy Beard’s blog) that there are close to 100 million blogs now. Seems that it has been doubling about every 6 months. You would think it has to stop at some point.
