Now that your computer is fresh can clean, you can start your day! I’ll show you how to launch Firefox [for those of you who are using IE, check out Automatically Open Your Browser (Internet Explorer) from the Table Of Contents below].

This is the Fifth Step in the Fresh Computer Series.

Schedule The Task

  1. Navigate to: Control Panel -> Scheduled Tasks -> Add Scheduled Task
    (Alternately, you run this from the Run dialog: control schedtasks)

  2. Hit Next in the dialog box that opens.
  3. In the Scheduled Task Wizard, put this in the address bar [1]:
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
  4. Click Next. Set this to run Daily.

  5. Click Next. Enter the time and date for the task. Set the Start time for 6:30 AM and Perform the task Every Day.

  6. In the next screen, enter in the username and the password for your Windows user account [2].

  7. So far, the steps taken in this tutorial will only open your standard homepage. If you’d like to open any other sites, continue reading. If not, click the Finish button.
    Tick the “Open advanced properties for this task when I click Finish.” checkbox and click the Finish button.

  8. In the advanced settings, look for the Run text field. Add any sites you’d like to open, separating each with a space. each site will be opened in a new tab:
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe google.com samanathon.com digg.com

  9. Click the Set password… button (right of the Run as textbox with your username) and add your Windows password [3]
