My good friend Bobs has written a fix for the Brian’s Threaded Comments plugin! As of now, when you’re entering a comment on a site running the plugin, you can tab from the Name, Email, URL and Comment fields – you’d think that hitting Tab once more would would send you to the Submit button but it doesn’t – until now! Check out Bobby’s site and get the fix running on your site!
Encourage Comment On Your Site!
I really believe that you should be running this plugin and few others to encourage visitor interaction on your site! Read my article on 4 Essential WordPress Plugins That Encourage Commenting!
Thanks for this!
BTC is a cool plug in, but also one of the most troublesome I have used…
sweet . . . gonna install the fix asap!
Ryan over at ryanjparker.net fixed this bug weeks ago!
Fix on Ryan’s site
Cool – looks like it annoyed him just as much as it did me! I had only recently installed the plugin, until then, when commenting on other sites I had no idea the problem lied in that plugin. When I installed it and my site started to do that tabindex problem, I was so mad! I checked the forum that Brian had created, there was nothing there so I decided it must have never bothered anybody else.
I have updated my post to also link to his as well. Thanks for letting me know about it!
That’s cool, I wish Brian would update his plugin…
Now these are the kind of tips I need for my blog!!!
Thanks a lot for this information, that what i was looking for to do in my blog but, I didn’t know what was the term for it. Well now i know and thanks for the tips.
Could you make a primer on how to adjust the css for brian’s threaded comments – I know a lot of us out there are having problems with the way it looks so it’s be great
